Solar PV

What is Solar PV?

PV solar panels are the large flat panels you see on houses, sheds and factories. PV means photovoltaic, the technical term for solar cells. They are large, flat panels that capture sunlight and convert it directly into DC electricity, this is known as the PV effect.

After that, the solar converter turns the DC electricity into AC, and you have 100 per cent sustainable, 100 per cent free energy from the sun. PV solar panels operate silently and without any moving parts or environmental emissions, and due to massive advances in solar technology, PV solar panels have evolved from relatively niche markets into a mature technology that is used in mainstream electricity generation.

PV systems generally fall into three categories: the residential rooftop, commercial rooftop and the ground-mount utility-scale systems. Their capacities range from a few kilowatts to hundreds of megawatts, and Trivium Energy specialises in commercial rooftop systems between 10-100 kilowatts.

If you are interested in PV solar, Trivium Energy has extensive supplier and installer relationships that will get you the best performance for your budget.
